Salakos Village

A dream village built at the foot of the Prophet Elias (the second highest mountain) in the north-western coast of Rhodes. The Salakos uniquely combines mountain and sea and is famous for its delicious walnuts.

In the center of the village is a cobbled square with fig trees and running water. The tradition still prevails. Grandmothers with scarves head grind wheat, bulgur spread in the sun to dry or bake "bun" in wood ovens, like old times.

The Salakos is the perfect retreat for a relaxing family holiday.
